The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class models are convertible roadsters for customers with exclusive taste. The SL-Class is comprised of three distinct models; the SL550 is the base, and the other two, the AMG SL63 and AMG SL65, are high performance models hand-built and tuned by Mercedes-AMG.The SL-Class starts at just over $100,000 with the base SL550. The SL550 has a 382-hp 5.5-L V8 and a 7-speed automatic transmission. Next up in the line is the AMG SL63 with a bigger 6.0-L V8 putting out 518-hp and a unique MCT (multi-clutch technology) 7-speed automatic transmission not found in any other Mercedes-Benz. Finally, the fastest production Mercedes-Benz is the AMG SL65. This AMG tuned Mercedes has a 7.0-L bi-turbo V12 that produces an impressive 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. Keeping that horsepower under control is tasked to a heavy-duty 5-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
The AMG SL63 and AMG SL65 have the all the performance, handling, and styling upgrades expected from Mercedes-Benz AMG. They have aggressive looking aerodynamic body styling, bulging fender flares, and a lowered stance.
The three SL-Class roadsters come standard with leather interior, a powered retractable hardtop, and active body control. And, high-tech features abound including Mercedes-Benz’s COMAND system with voice control for navigation and telephone, 40GB hard drive, SIRIUS satellite radio (with 6 month subscription), iPod media interface, Bluetooth, GPS navigation, and a 10-speaker surround sound system by Harman Kardon with an in dash 6-disc changer.

At just over $100,000 the Mercedes-Benz SL550 is the base model in the 2011 SL-Class lineup. It has a powerful 5.5-liter 382 horsepower V8 engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. 
The 2011 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL63 is equipped with AMG features like a hand-built V8 engine (naturally aspirated), a Speedshift 7-speed sport transmission, and a high-performance braking system. You will enjoy an output of 518 hp and 465 lbs-ft of torque. 
The all new 2011 Mercedes-Benz AMG SL65 roadster is among the fastest production cars on the road today. This two-seater only takes 4.5 seconds to get to sixty miles per hour. It gets its power from a hand built, bi-turbo V12 that makes 604 horsepower. The transmission is a heavy duty automatic with five-speeds and paddle shifters.
